\u2018I don\u2019t have time to do anything\u2019<\/h2>\n

A college grad who recently started her first 9-5 job has taken to TikTok to ask people how they do it.<\/p>\n

The TikToker, who goes by the username @brielleybelly123 on the platform, shared a now-deleted video to the platform with tears in her eyes asking the question: \u201cHow do you have time for your life?\u201d<\/p>\n

In the video, Brielle explains that she\u2019s recently got her first 9-5 and her job is completely in person meaning she has to commute into \u201cthe city\u201d which \u201ctakes forever\u201d.
\n<\/p>\n

Brielle anticipated people in the comments to tell her to \u201cmove to the city\u201d but there\u2019s \u201cno way\u201d she could afford to move.<\/p>\n

Brielle said that if she wants to get into work on time she has to take the train at 7.30am and only gets home at around 6.15pm at the earliest.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI don\u2019t have time to do anything. I want to shower, eat my dinner, and go to sleep. I don\u2019t time or energy to cook my dinner either. I don\u2019t have energy to work out, like, that\u2019s out the window.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brielle added that it wasn\u2019t her job that she was having problems with but rather the lifestyle of an eight hour working day.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cIf it was remote you get off at 5 and you\u2019re home and everything\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

However she said that because she has to commute to work, the working day doesn\u2019t stop until she\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

In the video, Brielle ponders how 9-5 workers have time for friends, family<\/a>, and dating. She said: \u201cI don\u2019t have time for anything and I\u2019m like so stressed out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video has since been viewed more than one million times since it was initially posted on October 19.<\/p>\n

Many people took to the comment section to side with Brielle with one writing: \u201cThe 40-hour work week is beyond outdated and your feelings are totally valid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201c0-hour work week was designed with a homemaker to take care of house tasks. We need dual incomes now, so that\u2019s not possible. No time for anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third commented: \u201cGen Z need to collectively move into management posititions and collectively enforce the 4 day work week.\u201d Another said: \u201cImagine having kids<\/a> to come home to after that.\u201d<\/p>\n
