More awkward questions have been raised about the\u00a0health of Donald Trump after strange bruising was revealed on the president\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n

For a man who made\u00a0Joe Biden\u2019s\u00a0health\u00a0a campaign theme,\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0is suddenly facing his own concerns after attempts to cover the discolouration on his right hand with concealer.<\/p>\n

Sitting at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, Trump appeared to be covering up the back of his right hand by placing his left hand on top of it while speaking with reporters.<\/p>\n

The White House and Trump himself have insisted that he is in \u2018excellent health\u2019 and the recurring bruise is the result of frequent handshaking.<\/p>\n

\u2018This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen,\u2019 Trump\u2019s doctor, Sean Barbabella, has said.<\/p>\n

Trump on Monday signed an executive order requiring the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute people for burning the American flag.<\/p>\n

Trump said Monday that burning the star spangled banner\u2019incites riots at levels we\u2019ve never seen before,\u2019 with some people \u2018going crazy\u2019 over burning it and others expressing anger at people for burning it. He did not offer examples.

In a rambling speech at the Oval Office, Trump raged at the media for not getting credit for his National Guard-backed crackdown on crime and immigration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say \u2018we don\u2019t need him. Freedom, freedom. He\u2019s a dictator. He\u2019s a dictator.\u2019 A lot of people are saying: \u2018Maybe we like a dictator,\u2019 Trump told reporters.<\/p>\n

But he then insisted: \u2018I don\u2019t like a dictator. I\u2019m not a dictator. I\u2019m a man with great common sense and a smart person.\u2019<\/p>\n

The\u00a0US<\/a>\u00a0president appeared this week with a questionable smudge on his right hand, believed to be makeup hiding a large bruise.<\/p>\n

The incident happened as the 79-year-old visited\u00a0an exhibit at the People\u2019s House museum\u00a0in Washington DC.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, during a\u00a0World Cup event in the Oval Office<\/a>, Trump kept his left hand folded over his right, but the layer of makeup was visible when he stood up.<\/p>\n

This comes after the Republican was pictured with severely swollen ankles earlier this month \u2013 not exactly the vision of vigour from a man who insists he is in \u2018excellent\u2019 shape.<\/p>\n

What has been said about Trump\u2019s health?<\/h2>\n

Both incidents have\u00a0only fueled speculation\u00a0about\u00a0Trump\u2019s health\u00a0and how far his team will go to protect his image.<\/p>\n

True to form, the White House has brushed off concerns about his health.<\/p>\n

Press secretary\u00a0Karoline Leavitt\u00a0appeared to brush off concerns, reiterating the stance\u00a0that bruising is caused by handshakes.
